Krabi 甲米 Day 1 - 2010May

We were holidaying at Krabi from 30Apr to 02May.
We chose Krabi La Playa, as this hotel seems to be the "preferred" resort when we went shopping for holiday packages at Natas.

Multiple activities at Budget Terminal to keep us entertained

Last call for Flight Paradise, let's go!!

Video : Take Off

Our kids are season travelers already ;-p

See some familier restaurants? (we saw Mac, BK, Swenson etc)

Video : Feel our anticipation, as we rode along Ao Nang

Our Hotel room is Big , and can easily accomodate us.
There is a balcony overlooking Resort swimming pool.

Upon arrival, we book packages for Sat (Four Islands), and Sun (Hong Island).
In Krabi, you can also explore JamesBond Island, and the famous Phi Phi Island
(Leonardo Dicaprio stars in the Beach, featuring Phi Phi island)

After settling down, we decide to checkout the swimming pool.
Why no kid's pool? We had assumed kid's pool is "standard".

Video : No kids pool, but we still had fun.
Maybe Xin got too much splashes!

We took a Tuk Tuk (motorcycle cum carriage) to Macdonald (a local landmark).
And had our fill of Thai Seafood dinner.

Then we took a slow walk back to hotel (15 min )
Ops, hotel is not exactly near to shopping district.

Video : Thrilling Tuk Tuk

It is late at night at our resort..but

Video : Yi and Xin are still working hard, preparing tomorrow's fish bait

  6. We are planning to visit Phuket and Krabi in mid-Dec.
    Thank you for posting.
I've been looking at some of the posts on this website to get an idea about travel in Phuket and Krabi for my next vacation.
At Phuket, I think I'll stay here Surin Beach Hotel This hotel is very nice clean and the people are friendly. VERY nice hotel with helpful staff.
And I really love white sand, crystal clear waters at Surin Beach too.
    Thank again.

  9. hi Surin Beach, we were considering Krabi/Phuket/Samui then.
End up select Krabi, because Samui more expensive, and Phuket was more affected by Tsunami :p

If we are going again, will definitely be Krabi or Phuket, heard a lot good things about Surin.
    cheers,
    andy

    1. Hi Angie, bread to feed the fish and Ton of Sun tan lotion.
If you have underwater camera or waterproof phone, capture the feeding memories.

      cheers,
      andy
