That means kids can enjoy free entry to selected Museums :)
Theme for this year is "Children's Season", and you can expect tons of activities waiting for the kids ....

Golden Village's Mums and Babies

We blogged about Golden Village (GV)'s pro-family initiative last month. Together with SPRG, "Mums and Babies" wants to encourage more young Families to go for movies, with their babies and toddlers!


Besides Gulliver's Traveller, we noticed a few interesting fringe activities :
- some babies really sleep through two hours
(dim light, lowered volume, and lesser DTS surround sound helps haha)

- parent follow their toddlers around the theatre
(this is ok, kids are expected to be restless )

- when kids fail to settle down, their Mummy or Daddy will be considerate enough to bring the kids out of the theatre

- this is the mini-pantry for your babies :)


Kang enjoys the show, and he is asking when he can skip school again !

Thank you GV, for allowing us to enjoy one fun morning together :)
It was nice to see other parents took time off just to accompany their darlings. If time permits, Daddy would like to bring Wen Wei (who was jealous) to the show.

Although programme is "Mums and Babies", Daddies are most welcome !



Our little girl did not attend the movie, but she happily volunteers to carry our goodie bags. How come she is exhibiting shopaholic symptoms at such a tender young age?

Golden Village GV family friendly cinemas

Before we become parents, movies was one of our dating options. We can always catch the midnight show, go for supper before walking home.

That was then. Now parents would know how challenging it is to bring your toddlers to a movie.

- Is our child really expected to sit quietly for the next 2 hours.
- Parents might be embarrassed if our kids make too much din during screening and disturb other patrons.
- Are we really going to enjoy a family movie screening?


SPRG is promoting Golden Village's "Mum and Babies" pro-family package. It allows parents to bring their kids to a screen, and Daddy quote from GV website:

"WARNING: Screenings will be held in a conducive environment. Babies crying and running toddlers are to be expected."

How cool is this !
There is even a mini pantry area, where you can make milk or change diapers, with complimentary wet wipes.

Is this for real? (Adult $6, children under 90cm free)
In case anybody is interested, please drop by "GV Plaza or GV Grand" for their screening from now till May.

Happee Day on 31Oct - a meaningful project for cancer-stricken children

Mummy Daphne is working with "Children’s Cancer Foundation" to set up a carnival for children who are sick. We hope to raise some funds and bring some cheers to our little friends.




As parents, we want our kids to be healthy and cheerful, but not all kids are so fortunate. If you are interested to help bring a cheer to another kid, there are a few ways for us to contribute :

- help to spread "Happee Day" on your facebook, or blog about event
- be there on 31Oct morning (show moral support)
- donate ( help fund medical treatment)
- volunteer

NFC (Nuffnang) pledge #2 - stand to win USS tickets!

Our earlier pledge#1 won us 7 tickets to Sentosa's 4D/CineBlast.
Not sure what this 4D thingy is, but am sure the kids will be intrigued too.

As we grow bigger, we are now sleeping in our own room :(
Daddy will say goodnight after nudging us to bed, then he will "do his own things".

We miss the nights when Daddy would bunk in with us, and pat us to sleep.
Sometimes, Daddy will chit chat with us, joke with us, until all of us enter Sleep zone.

Starting next week, we will remind Daddy to pat us to sleep every Friday evenings.
The only problem --> what happens if Daddy sleeps before us ?

Maybe if we perform less OT (OverTimes), and knock off early at least once a week? Daddy will approach management to work out some feasible schedule :p

Time loss, cannot be relived.
There is only one childhood.
If we miss our children's milestones (first roll, first walk) , the moment is Gone.
We cannot rewind and watch them grow up again.

Along the way, Mummy and Daddy hope to nurture the kids to be responsible and independent adults. We parents can only show the way, and kids have to decide their own growing-up path.

**NFC and Nuffnang, please grant us an outing on 29th May,
so that we can blog about how our Happy Family can have Fun, together.

Preview Tickets to Sentosa's Universal Studios

Daddy went to queue for the preview Tickets today...
Universal Studios will be opened for preview
between 14-21Sep from 5pm to 9pm.

**Although rides will not be available yet, this is a novelty idea for us.
Above, the famous Universal Globe icon.

Preview tickets are priced at $10 each,
and can be exchange for meal coupons on day itself.

Actual ticket is $66 adult, and $48 child.

As Daddy was free, he ventures around the compound..

He saw Victoria, and the angels :p

You need a lot of maps and directions to get around.



Carpark is hugh, and can be confusing to drive "around".
Too many pillars.
