We were supposed to see some Fireworks at Marina Bay, but Mummy is sick, so we went to Sengkang Anchorvale CC instead. Daddy grab three boys and walk 15min to view the countdown activities.
Kids did not complain :) Over McDonald nuggets and some live-band, we countdown to 2012 together with our Sengkang neighbours.
Although the fireworks might not be as magnificent as Marina Bay's, the atmosphere and partying are still happening :)
Life has been good. We have a lot of things to be grateful for :)
We have a Happy and Healthy family, kids are mischievous by nature, but generally Daddy and Mummy are enjoying the kiddos' growing up years keke :p

2012 heralds more changes and adventures for us. - Mummy will upgrade to full time housewife - Kang will join his Bro in Primary School - No3 Yi and No4 Xin will be changing school

If ever you need to feel romantic, or just wish to share some couple moments with your darling, take a s-l-o-w stroll along Marina Bay. Now, what can you see along Marina Bay Waterfront Promenade?
1. Christmas trees. 20 of them has been planted, and some have been adopted by various organizations. Donations will be given to ComChest. Know more about ChariTrees here, and you can even vote and win "Open bus rides for two" (yes, you and darling) to spin around Marina Bay on Christmas eve !
2. When it rains, some photographers always go hunting for reflections. Did you notice Marina Bay City Gallery's glass-facade will reflect iconic buildings from (new) Financial downtown? During weekends, the water feature attract kids to run across without getting wet. 3. Look closely at the photo below, do you see some white balls in the water? Yes, the wishing spheres are back. You can pen your wishes for the coming year (health, happiness, marriage, family, wealth etc etc).
4. Love this lonely pontoon bridge. On a clear day, and at a lower angle, Daddy might be able to do some illusion to "link" bridge to Raffles City (across Marina Bay). Take in the city view basking in the evening lights. We can be proud of Singapore's downtown.
5. Marina Bay Sands (MBS) laser shows and the misty-bulbs seem to turn Promenade into a disco stage, festival of lights ! Imagine walking under the spotlight with your beau, basking in the Bay's activities.
6. Now, imagine Marina Bay atmosphere during 2012 Countdown, with the crowd, and fireworks !! (ok, maybe babies will not enjoy :p) .. We were there during National Day fireworks.

(http://www.marinabaycountdown.sg/) Before Daddy headed home, he saw families gathering around the open field. Someone was playing with remote-kites. These kites are fitted with hid-lookalike lamps which shine downwards. Awesome, the kids will be amazed. !
Now, when are you going to grab your beau to Romance at Marina Bay? If you happen to be parents already, you can also keep the little ones entertained with activities mentioned above, while you hold Mummy or Daddy's hand keke.

Yes, we were there to witness countdown, and firework. We met our neighbours Chew family and their kids Jenna and Kyan. Kang was getting sleepy, and then....
... pom..pom.. the sky explodes with fireworks.. .. the crowds were waving spontaneously. hooray ! .. Fireworks is not as spectacular as Marina Bay's, but the mood was fantastic ! 10 Minutes only, we have to wait for next year :p

First Firework attempt for Daddy, it was fun, trial and error for 10 min. Daddy will definitely look out for more firework opportunities :)

In 2011, our kids will continue to roam Singapore to bring you playgrounds, and overseas to bring you resorts. Sengkangbabies will definitely be more fun !

So we finished our milk, before Daddy drove us over around 1030PM. The whole compound looks different in the night, and carries a carnival setup, with Deejay belting festive melodies. Video : Time to nap, Yi became more restless
We got our sculpture ballons. Yi already knockout...zzz.. Other performances include magic show, and exotic belly dancers. Even a light drizzle did not deter the crowd.
BEfore the firework starts, we exit the crowed common porch, and headed towards the bridge. Hopefully, we can get better views.
At midnight, firework rocks Sengkang !! Yeah.

2009 is coming to a close... ....quick review for 2009 and 2010
Best thing which happened to us in 2009..
Wen Xin 雯锌, our cutie is already 7 months old!! Revisit her birth , Day 1, and Day 2.
Come 2010, - we wish for health and happiness. - Wei will be attending Primary School, a new milestone.
- Daddy will continue blogging to bring latest gossip to friends.
Fireworks evening on 31Dec? We were also thinking of a fire-works evening, maybe Marina Barrage, Vivo?
but we got too many constraints :p
- no need to stay out late, as kids will be tired. (but fireworks only at 12mn) - lesser crowd (is there still a secluded corner in Singapore?) - prepare to face jams, both human and machine :p - maybe we should just cope up at home, and countdown from our hall haha
