Last Sunday, we headed for Circle Line's open house. Although 12 stations are open, we only tour 4 of them (Farrer road, Kent Ridge, Telok Blangah and Botanic Gardens). There are so many visitors !
We start our journey at Farrer Road (not to be confused with Farrer Park)
Boon Xin hugging Mummy. Cabin is simply packed, with so many curious passengers :)
Next Stop Kent Ridge. We pop out to view a Kampong-exhibition.
Kent Ridge station will be welcomed by patients and Hospital staff working nearby.
Daddy show kids Singapore's public-loo from yesterday.
Can you imagine, our dense Train network will double in years to come !
A different experience, Kids just love the view of the Tunnel.
Telok Blangah. Recharge and milk for the smaller kids. We can see Keppel's iconic condo (Caribbean) from station.
Game stalls await kids, and our friendly radio DJs have quizzes for kids too.
Look at the crowd ! We avoided the crowd at Bouna Vista and Harbour Front "interchanges".
Last Stop, we drop by Botanic Gardens. We love the bridge spanning across Bukit Timah road and canal.
This gate will bring us to Jacob Ballas under 10 min walk :)
Performances at Botanic Gardens
Video : Fun
One fun ride :)
With this phase of completion, Singaporeans are now nearer to more nature walks and gardens.
Circle line extension will be ready by 2012 Jan, bringing us nearer to Marina Bay front.
More photos of our Transport experience at SengkangBabies fanpage :)
** Look at which stations we explore during Phase 1 opening.
