When Daddy started blogging, Blogger's range of tempates was limited, and not really fanciful. Look at Cool_Trick_&_Tips' recommendation.

Blogger has undergo an image revamp, and some of the Templates
now look very professional and chic.

Just remember to backup your template,
before you attempt any major re-construction :p
